Flexibility

Active warm ups are essential to prepare your body for your sport. Flexibility is the key to becoming powerful. Aaron Mattes's, Active Isolated Stretching , has provided our athletes with outstanding flexibility gains in a short period of time. Many Moshe Feldenkrais and Yoga movements are also highly effective. Lack of flexibility is the cause of a majority of performance problems and injures.

Remember the formula for power... the greater range of motion with a quick turnover time, the more powerful you will be. Stretching also increases and maintains joint range of motion, which enhances performance and helps prevent injuries form occurring. Many of the Feldenkrais stretches are multi joint or whole body stretches.

This stretching also improves recovery time and relieves muscle soreness and stiffness. Our body utilizes less energy when properly stretched. Our muscles can be stretched 1.6 times its resting length before it will tear. Develop a sequence, be consistent, be progressive and become flexible and powerful.”
