About Athleticism

"What ever the mind of the man can conceive and believe, it can achieve"
     Clement Stone

"Athleticism is everywhere and everything!"
     Dean Brittenham

The Athleticism basics are the ability to:

  • Defy Gravity
  • Generate Power
  • Create a summation of forces
  • Highly refine the neuro-muscular systems
  • Harness the balance mechanisms
  • Accelerate & decelerate
  • Visualize and a perfect performance
  • Master Mindfulness
  • Coordinate hands, eyes and feet
  • Use both sides of the brain or Whole Brain Thinking
  • Optimize reflexes

The great performers in all sports are the athletes who possess the highest level of athletic skills or Athleticism. The level to which you can learn and perfect sport specific skill is directly proportional to your level of athletic skills. Our #1 responsibility to our athletes is to give them the ultimate Athleticism program.

GREAT ATHLETES ARE NOT BORN, THEY ARE MADE!!!

Athletes have practically unlimited potential.

It is now estimated that the brain is so powerful and has so much potential that we only develop or harness 1/100 of 1%. Gelb and Buzzan state that everyone could be a genius. They also say that we could learn 7 facts per second for the rest of our lives and not come close to running out of memory space. Experts are confident that athletes do not develop more than 50% of their physical potential. The Human Machine just continues to improve, adapt and get better as it is trained, challenged and various systems are stressed. We are the only machines that keep getting better with use. Implementing a Total Training Program to highly develop our amazing machines major systems, sub-systems and related functions include:

  • Respiratory, Digestive, Muscular, Nervous, Balance
  • Circulatory, Mental, Energy, Coordination, Rhythm
  • Locomotive, Endurance, Visual and Agility

This comprehensive program was pioneered over 40 years ago, by world-renown Strength Coach, Dean Brittenham. Dean is the former Track & Field Coach for the University of Nebraska and the former Director of the Elite Athlete program at Scripps Clinic, in La Jolla, CA. He has trained athletes at the amateur, Olympic and Professional level in most every sport. The program has evolved into what we know it as today, Athleticism.

Justin Frandson is in his fourth year as the current President and owner of Athleticism and Athleticism.com. Prior to, Justin was Dean's apprentice for over six years. As a 1994 graduate from the University of Southern California , Justin is nationally credentialed teaching performance training in functional fitness, AIS stretching and applied kinesiology. He trains world-class athletes and teams in numerous sports. The continued research & development makes this Athleticism® programs one of the most comprehensive across the country.

We have seen high success rates implementing our program with individuals and team sports, both at the amateur and professional levels. Each athlete will exude confidence and discipline knowing that he or she is a more dynamic person and athlete than their competitor.

Dean's son, Greg Brittenham is the current Strength & Conditioning Coach for the New York Knicks, National Basketball Association. Greg develops Athleticism at the highest level in sports, utilizing this same methodology.

Let's level the playing field and start training on dynamic balance training devices. Train the way you want to play... with explosive power in a relaxed state-of-mind.
